Theme Park Ankara Zoo

The mayor of Ankara wants to improve the city’s appeal for its inhabitants and also as a base for international businesses and their employees. Recreational opportunities play an important role in a city’s attractiveness, which is why he is keen to develop a theme park combining a zoo, fairground attractions and a golf course.

The conceptual plan for Ankara Zoo explores crossovers between a conventional zoo and a theme park in order to create whole new experiences: wellness among the polar bears, on safari in a roller coaster and dining among the penguins. It will be the place in Ankara to escape from reality for a while, combining fun with the opportunity to learn about nature – and all in a splendid green oasis that could well become a city icon.
